House Warming

My dear friend Angie decided to throw a house warming to celebrate her parents new home.  Lenny and I where so happy that we where able to attend and spend time with Angie and her parents.  Their new home was truly beautiful and you could see that they were very happy to be all moved in.  It was so nice to  spend time with them and friends that we had not seen in some time. We even made some new friends which made the evening even all the better!  We pray that GOD blesses their new home and that it is filled with plenty of love and laughter.

Science Project

My Nephew Had to do a Science project for school this evening.    To make the project not so boring... we decided to try to make learning a little fun!  He had to make models to show certain elements on the periodic table.   We used food coloring to dye marshmallows to represent protons, neutrons, and electrons.  Then, We placed them onto one large white marshmallow using toothpicks. My kids had a lot of fun helping out there cousin and learned a lot to!   They ate a lot more marshmallows than they dyed, but that was to be expected.  After the project was complete, They became very creative and decided to make up their own elements and give them exciting names.  It was so refreshing to see my Nephew so excited about learning and He can't hardly wait to share all he learned about science with his Mom and his Science teacher.   A very good time was had by all.

Homecoming

Mariah was very excited for Homecoming this year.  Once again,  She was invited to go with Matt whom she's been dating for awhile now. We went out to go dress shopping and after a few tries, She fell in love with a peacock blue/green dress that was just perfect for her! When the night of Homecoming finally arrived, Mariah was very nervous and very excited to go.  Matt came and knocked on the door and when Mariah came down the stairs, I thought that the kid was going to fall over!  He did a pretty good job of trying to regain his composure and after a few photo's, out the door they went.  She had a wonderful night and I am so glad.  She is an amazing young lady and she deserves to feel like on to.

Nani - Looking soo beautiful and waiting for her date to arrive.
