The Carvell's Christmas Bash

The Christmas Party at Angie and Josh's house this year was soo much fun!   We had the perfect crowd and the food was overflowing.   We hung out and then had a white elephant gift exchange.   That was hysterical!   There where so many funny gifts given!   A shake weight, a pocket chair,  hunting photo frame that lit up, a hot stone massage kit,  a reflecting fanny pack, and even a very funny calender with the worst family Christmas photos on display.  We had a wonderful time opening them and laughing at each one.   Afterward,  we played a really fun board game called
"Wits and Wages".   I really need to go buy it now because it was soooo addictive!  

At the end of the night,  and because it was also Lenny's birthday,  we brought out an ice cream cake and sang him Happy birthday!   A great time was had by all and I can't hardly wait until we do it again next year!

Jacob's 13th Birthday Party- Base Pool Offutt

It's that time again!   Time for the big O' Birthday party.  "So.." We asked Jacob, "Where would you like to have your party this year?  The movie theater? The Roller Rink?  The Arcade?"  Jacob really surprised us when he said that he really wanted to have his party at the swimming pool.  We where very excited about this because it was something we had not done before and it was a nice change of pace.  So, we rented out the base pool as a private party for Jacob and his friends. 

The party was a raging success!  It was so much fun!  The kids said it was the best party yet and I had to agree.  There was really no set up or clean up for me, besides the cake table and some pizza boxes, so I could just relax.  We played in the pool and had great conversation.  We played well into the night, around 10pm!   We will defiantly do this again!!

Jacob's Birthday Dinner at Kobe Steakhouse

We can't hardly believe that our little Jacob is 13 years old already!  Where has the time gone.   We look at him and see our sweet little boy but also a young man starting to emerge.  It difficult to let go of the baby boy stages but also very exciting and quite entertaining to experience this new stage of his life.  We feel so blessed to be part of it. 

We asked Jacob where he would like to go for his Birthday this year and it was no big surprise when he chose Kobe Steakhouse.  He just loves the food and especially the environment.  His eyes just come alive with all the flipping of the knives against the hot grill and the flames shooting to the ceiling.  Then when you think you have seen it all,  they come and serenade the birthday boy with the banging of the Gong and Shouting
"Banzai!"

Jacob and I recieved free tickets to go see a circus.   We had an amazing time out and we even where able to bring along a couple of Jacob's good friends.   Tanner and Logan.   The boys really enjoyed themselves.   So glad we went!
